About us

Swedish calm, Kurdish hospitality

The mountain resort in Shaqlawa where private cabins, gardens and views of Safeen Mountain come together.

Our story

Inspired by the Swedish countryside

The Swedish Village was inspired by the Swedish countryside. The idea was to bring its beauty, simplicity and calm atmosphere to Shaqlawa.

Here, that idea meets the area's own nature — pines, gardens and the long ridge of Safeen Mountain — to give guests a different, relaxing kind of stay.

Wide stairs leading down to the garden lawn, with Shaqlawa and Safeen Mountain beyond
